It adds rigidity and strength to the front of the machine and is going to be a must for people wanting to add a winch to the front of their machine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe started our kit with a higher grade steel than most use, grade 50 over the common A36. Grade 50 has a higher yield and tensile strength than A36 plate, combined with a lower weight making it a stronger and better option for our gussets. While A36 material isn't a terrible option its also not our first but what others tend to use due to cost. It tends to stretch and when you're trying to use this material as a gusset it's less than ideal. You won't find many places advertising their material choices and why.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur kit consists of 4 individual pieces plus hardware, 5 pieces with hardware if the Race Plate is ordered.  The race plate is an add option.  This is a plate that bolts in place of the studs for the front lower a arms using form threaded 4130 chromoly weld nuts that we make in house. Hardware is supplied and this allows for very easy service and removal of a arms in the future.  This is a $30 add on.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe've created a plate system that ties the front mounting points along with the upper rear mount together in full via 3 different welded assemblies. The front of the X3 is what we call a floating front end. The front of the chassis ahead of the front a arms attaches via the front arms and is only supported by the radiator. If you were to pull on that that portion of the frame you're pulling on the front suspension bolts only, its a risky move. Our front welded assembly keeps that front section from twisting and also from pulling solely on the a arm bolts. This is the same void in the frame where the front of the a arms pivot. The front of the frame no longer floats at this point and is tied into firmly with the rest of the chassis. Above the diff we have 2 different pieces of metal that tie the rear upper pivot point to both front a arm points. This not only strengthens the frame from the bolts trying to pull out but it greatly reduces the chance of the frame twisting.  During pulling forces this can also uses transfers energy to the rear upper a arm mounting plate to help spread the load and increase strength.  The single plate over the diff that ties the upper mounting points together will keep the rear upper arm pivot of the chassis from twisting under hard impacts.  The final plate piece is additional reinforcement to to the rear lower mounting points of the suspension and finishes the gusset kit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStandard install time is roughly 5 hours and a mechanical background or general handy work is advised. This is aircraft grade aluminum and pretty much the strongest aluminum option for our sport. The ends house FK uniballs, the same series joints that the trophy trucks are running, there is nothing better. The middle (toe) link and upper radius rod are solid 1-1\/8\" 7075-T6 aluminum.  What sets apart from the norm in the industry are the joints that we use, we use the absolute highest quality joint on the market.  The JMX series of joints from FK is something that we've had a tremendous amount of sucess with over the years.  These joints use a fabric based teflon liner known as a PTFE liner. There is a plate that goes under the transmission and there is also an additional plate that welds in the inside of the chassis under the transmission to tie everything together. Due to variations, stresses and multiple factors we heavily suggest using a very rigid radius rod plate like our billet radius rod plate as a fixture to weld all of this in. The factory frame is thin enough to allow the \"faces\" of the factory plate to move and pull into place but these chromoly plates will make everything so rigid it will not move or conform after fully installed, so take your time and do this right. We use a billet pull plate and spacers to set the pull plate away from the chassis and then weld everything into place, and allow it to fully cool. The adjuster collar is made from a piece of 17-4 stainless steel that we heat treat for extra strength, this piece has a 1\" OD right hand thread and also a 3\/4\" ID left hand thread and has multiple slots through the thread. The body that houses the adjuster is the upper radius rod itself, it has the 1\" ID thread and has a slot through the body, to tighten it we have (2) 5\/16\" grade 9 bolts. To adjust the upper radius rod, you loosen the (2) 5\/16\" bolts and use an 1-1\/4\" wrench to turn the adjuster collar. The adjuster collar and joint thread and unthread at the same rate making adjustments as easy as they could possibly be while giving 3\/4\" of total adjustment in overall length. To tighten everything and secure it in place you torque the (2) 5\/16\" bolts to 25 ft lbs and you're done. addressed we moved on to creating ridiculously beefy lower and middle radius rods.  Both lower and middle radius rods are produced from 1.5\" thick American Made 7075-T6 aluminum plate and house 3\/4\" FK WSSX uniballs with 303 stainless spacers.  We gained a HUGE 3-1\/8\" of clearance(matching our front a arms), making them nearly even with the axle shaft through parts of the suspension arc.  The lower also features a huge chamfer on the front lower face of the rod to help you slide over obstacles when you come in contact with them.  The middle rods feature our single point adjuster that makes setting toe on the car a breeze with a 3\/4\" FK JMX joint.  Spin the adjuster to lengthen or shorten the rod with ease, tighten the 2 pinch lamp bolts and you're all set with no jam nuts to break loose.  We've been using this style of adjuster on the Pro R for a couple years as well as the X3 with great reliability.  On the spindle, instead of reusing a tapered stud like the factory balljoint we utilized our patent pending setup for the middle radius rod by producing a billet double shear bracket with 14mm hardware making install and removal fast and easy.  The upper radius rods
